Ryan Edwards as Figaro

The role of Figaro was an early favorite for Ryan Edwards, and one that has brought popular and critical acclaim.  Opera News wrote:  “At the head of the cast was Ryan Edwards, a dashing buccaneer Figaro who dominated the action with a voice of solid mahogany.”  When Mr. Edwards made his European debut as Figaro at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona, in a performance broadcast on Radio Europe, La Prensa reported that “Ryan Edwards was the perfectly defined Figaro in voice, gesture, action and understanding of the role.  His vocal gifts are sumptuous and very secure, and he dominates the stage and the part totally.  He was a triumph both as a singer and as a comic actor without any reservations whatever.”
