Praised as “a superb singer and artist” by the Washington Post, Ryan Edwards has gained acclaim throughout his career for his vocal and dramatic interpretations of the Verdi baritone repertory.  The Baltimore Evening Sun wrote of his Germont in La Traviata:  “The most convincing singing actor of the evening was Ryan Edwards, and the audience verified it with its applause.  With his aristocratic bearing, he brought poise and dignity to the role of the father.  His ‘Di Provenza’ was the hit of the opera.”  The New Orleans State-Item agreed, noting that Mr. Edwards “received thunderous applause for his aria.”  He has performed Germont in numerous productions across North America, singing with such illustrious Violettas as Beverly Sills and Joan Sutherland.
